Rosalino Alley
Old alley flanked by stone masonry walls that connects the Church square to the old Volta da Lagoa street (now Father Antônio Cândido street). Possibly, it would also have had stone paving in the past.
It rises in Church square (Father Bernardo Firmino square) where a fork to the west connects it to Father Antônio Cândido street. It still preserves a long stretch of dry stone wall that delimits the backyards. The floor is composed of natural terrain with practically no slope, having 190 meters in length.
Narrativa
“Rosalino was a very good man, a resident of the place and a friend to everyone”, according to Dona Lia, a 99-year-old resident of São Gonçalo Bação.
According to Ms. Divina do Espírito Santo, 94 years old, Mr. Rosalino had leprosy and, therefore, her father, Mr. Benjamim Pimenta, who had a grocery store, helped Mr. Rosalino, donating groceries and medicine. Not having a wife or children, when he died, Rosalino would have left the land where he lived to Mr. Benjamin.
