This is an important historical and archaeological site in S\u00e3o Gon\u00e7alo do Ba\u00e7\u00e3o. Site of an ancient fountain, probably the first, where people fetched water, washed clothes and bathed. Today the site is partially destroyed; stones that lined and constituted the site were possibly removed and the vegetation does not allow a good view of the fountain and its component structures.<\/p>\n
Place where women used to wash clothes. From oral information, it is known that there was a water tap and a large area of stone flooring. It is part of the water course. It is currently covered by vegetation and the structures were covered by land from the floods. It is no longer possible to recognize the location of the washerwomen.
