This Fountain is part of a set made to guarantee the distribution of water in S\u00e3o Gon\u00e7alo do Ba\u00e7\u00e3o when there was no piped water in most homes. With the installation of the water supply network, the fountains became artistic relics of the locality. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Seated in a public area, next to the front alignment of a vacant lot, it is now located in a niche created by the front railing of this area. It has a rectangular projection base in a stone masonry structure and was possibly coated with smooth plaster. A pillar slightly away from the back fabric forms the support for the faucet. The top finish is made by an element in the form of a small dome with decorative friezes and a more elaborate profile than the Fountain on Cruzeiro street. It has a masonry structure and a coating possibly composed of sand and lime.
